Boeing has been awarded a Navy contract for P-8A Poseidon trainers.
Boeing will provide seven Deployable Mission Readiness Trainers, or DMRT, beginning in 2019, according to a Boeing news release.
“The proposed DMRT design is portable with low-power requirements and includes Boeing’s Weapons Tactics Trainer system, which incorporates sonobuoy and ocean acoustics modeling,” Boeing said.
Boeing will also deliver a P-8A training system to the Royal Australian Air Force in 2018.
